Cathy Ferry has been the executive director of DNEC since January 2007. She arrived with lots of passion and experience in administration and direct service in non profit agencies serving persons with psychiatric disabilities, battered women, physical disabilities and children. She has extensive skills and experience in legislative advocacy and public stigma reduction.  At age 61, she states that she fits the "consumer" definition in the areas of age, physical and psychiatric disabilities.

Cathy is the proud grandparent of two boys and a girl. She lives in Portland with her longtime partner, Pat Duffey, except when they and their cat are at their camper or kayaking.  Cathy says, "I've fallen in love with DNEC.  I can't wait to see what's next!"
